TWIN 20s FOR FASTRAK LATE MODELS AT MCR

The Maynards Electric FASTRAK Late Models will highlight the May 31^st McDonalds of Bradford, GTM Sales East & Goodman Brothers, Crosby Marts, Casey Truck Salvage and Olson Tenglend NAPA program with a pair of Twin 20s event at McKean County Raceway.  The NE Micro Street Stocks will try again to have the $500 to win Bill Layfield Memorial.

John Lacki will be looking to defend his 2007 FASTRAK title and sweeping the Twin 20s would put him on the right path for the 2008 title.  The Sinclairsville, NY driver will have to keep his blue #7 Rocket Chassis pointed to the front as Greg Oakes, John Haggerty, Jim Frank, Bob Kish and others will be looking to dethrone Lacki from his title.  Max Blair should be back to MCR after winning last weeks FASTRAK Regional event and has the early point lead.  The Twin 20s should be a barnburner as it will be the first time in over five years that the late model division has had twin main events on the same night.

The NE Micro and Graphics Street Stocks will have their first Border Series event at MCR and it starts off with a very special event.  The Bill Layfield Memorial will pay $500 to win in the special 21 lap event.  Bill passed away in the fall of 2005 and his legacy still lives on.  The Layfield name is synamonous in the northeast over the past fifty years.  Chris Austin, Andy Michael, Brad Bigley, Jeff Hellwig, Rich Hemphill and Bill’s son, Joe Layfield will all be factors in the event.  Adam Ashcroft is the current Border Series point leader with Austin currently leading the MCR points. 

The fans will also be treated with a regular program of Yum Yums Super Stocks, John’s Collision Emods, Hallock Enterprises – AMSOIL Mini Stocks and KZ102 Pure Stocks.  At intermission there will be Kids Bike Races as MCR invites families to bring their children’s bikes to the track.
